How Ducto works

Ducto is a marketplace. We size your system and sell you the equipment. Independent licensed installers do the work under their own contract with you.

  1. 1

    Size your home

Answer questions about each room, your insulation and your electrical panel. Ducto calculates the heating and cooling each room needs, lays out the indoor heads and outdoor units, and checks your panel.

  2. 2

    Choose the labor

Pick how much you'll do yourself: DIY with a licensed electrician, Hybrid, or full installation. Refrigerant and electrical work always goes to a credentialed pro.

  3. 3

    Pick your installer

See up to three verified local installers with their own prices, ratings and earliest dates. Your installation contract is with them.

  4. 4

    Pay for equipment

You pay for the equipment and Ducto's fee at checkout. The installer has a day to confirm. If they can't, we send it to the next qualified installer at the same or a lower price.

  5. 5

    Equipment ships

Once your installer confirms, the installation contract is charged and your equipment ships straight to you.

  6. 6

    Installation

Your installer checks the site, does the work, pulls permits and uploads photos and test readings at each stage.

  7. 7

    Approve and you're done

Approve each stage to release your installer's payment for it, or it's approved automatically after 3 days. Your permits, readings and warranty details stay on your project page.
